Wood-based fire-resistant material "COOL WOOD" has obtained ministerial certification for 3-hour fire resistance.

Fire-resistant wooden materials with a 3-hour fire resistance specification have been developed, making it possible to incorporate wood into mid- to high-rise buildings of 15 stories or more! Construction examples are now available!

"COOL WOOD" is a wood-based fire-resistant material that uses gypsum board in its fire-stopping layer. Our company obtained a Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism certification for 3-hour fire resistance in December 2017. With the realization of 3-hour fire resistance specifications, there are no longer restrictions on the number of floors, allowing mid-rise and high-rise buildings that were previously constructed with steel frames or reinforced concrete to be built with wood. 【Features】 ■ All types of wood can be selected for the surface material ■ JAS-certified lumber, as well as non-combustible, quasi-non-combustible, and flame-retardant treated wood, can also be used ■ Ease of processing (only distribution materials used, no special tools required) *For more details, please request materials or view the PDF data from the download.
